Lauri K. Thomas is an Associate Attorney at the Jason Hatfield Law Firm, representing injured Arkansas workers and individuals who sustain personal injuries from car accidents, truck accidents, and other unfortunate accidents. With a strong commitment to making a positive change in people’s lives, Lauri brings a compassionate and dedicated approach to her practice.

Lauri’s journey towards becoming an attorney began after graduating from Conway High School. She attended the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, where she obtained her undergraduate degree. Following her passion for the law, she went on to attend the University of Arkansas School of Law, Fayetteville, solidifying her determination to pursue a legal career from a young age.

Before entering the legal profession, Lauri had a diverse range of professional experiences that shaped her approach as an attorney. From a young age, she worked as a babysitter, nurturing her skills in caregiving and attention to detail. She also worked as a catalog layout designer during her senior year of high school, honing her proofreading abilities. In college, she worked as a live-in nanny, providing her with invaluable experience in caring for children. These experiences instilled in her a deep commitment to fighting for the rights of children, leading her to focus on juvenile law upon graduating from law school.

Lauri’s dedication to making a difference extends beyond the legal realm. Throughout her academic years, she actively participated in philanthropic endeavors, focusing on causes such as local animal shelters. This early involvement in community service and fundraising has inspired her to continue volunteering and participating in mission trips and community events.

As an attorney, Lauri is motivated by the belief that every individual deserves legal representation to safeguard their rights. She began her legal career at Ozark Legal Services (now known as Legal Services of Arkansas) and later worked at the Benton County Public Defender’s Office, where she represented the underprivileged, particularly abused and neglected children. Following her extensive experience in the juvenile court system, Lauri transitioned into general private practice. During a break from active law practice, she served as the Criminal Justice Department Chair for Bryan University, further enriching her expertise. Lauri was selected to be a part of the Peace at Home Community Leadership Council in 2023. She serves on the development and fundraising subcommittee.

Lauri’s strengths as an attorney lie in her ability to build relationships. By fostering strong connections with her clients and colleagues, she ensures the provision of exceptional legal representation. Her approachable nature and genuine interest in getting to know people from diverse backgrounds contribute to her success as an attorney.

Growing up in Conway, Arkansas, Lauri’s background and close relationship with her maternal grandfather, a lifelong farmer, have greatly influenced her goals, outlook, and approach to the law. When she expressed her decision to attend law school, her grandfather urged her to use her legal skills to help others. His advice resonated deeply with her and continues to guide her in her legal career.

Outside of her professional pursuits, Lauri enjoys cheering on Arkansas Razorback sports teams, kayaking, and spending quality time with her family, friends, and pets. She is also an avid traveler, embracing the opportunity to explore new destinations and cultures, inspired by St. Augustine’s quote, “The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only a page.”

With her unwavering dedication to her clients and her passion for making a positive impact, Lauri K. Thomas is an attorney who tirelessly fights for justice and advocates for the rights of those she represents.
