Little Rock Woman Killed in 2-Car Accident in Ozark County

A resident of Little Rock, Arkansas was killed this week in a two-vehicle crash that happened right over the Missouri state line. The crash happened Monday evening on September 7, 2020. The woman was traveling along Missouri Highway 5, just 2.5 miles over the Arkansas-Missouri state line.

27-year old Qindi You was driving in her vehicle with two other women. For some reason, You crossed the center line on the highway and drove into oncoming traffic. Both of her passengers were taken to the hospital with serious injuries. You was also taken to Baxter Regional Medical Center but, sadly, was pronounced dead about two and a half hours later. The reports did not indicate what sort of injuries You suffered in the crash.

The car that You hit was driven by a 55-year old Illinois man named Michael Howard. Howard was also taken to the hospital but is expected to survive. There has been no update on his medical condition. There has been no update provided on the passengers in the other vehicle either.

The police are still investigating the crash. There is no indication that alcohol or drugs played any role in the crash. There has also been no comment made from the victim’s family. However, all of the victims in this accident may have a potential legal claim.

If there was something wrong with the decedent’s car, her family may have a claim against the manufacturer. For You’s passengers and Michael Howard, they may have a valid claim against You’s insurance company.
